These terms apply when you download or use the Collectoh software, create a Collectoh account, buy Collectoh Plus, or use collectoh.com. By doing any of those, you agree to them. If you're using Collectoh on behalf of an organisation, you agree to them for that organisation.
"We", "us" and "Collectoh" mean Collectoh. For anything in these terms, write to legal@collectoh.com.
The software
We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use the Collectoh software on computers and devices you own or control, and to let the people you invite use it through your server. You'll need a free Collectoh account to set it up; the people you invite won't.
You may not sell, rent or sublicense the software, pass it off as your own, or remove or work around the parts of it that switch Plus features on and off.
We keep improving Collectoh, so features may change. We'll try not to take away anything you rely on, and we'll say so in What's new when something important changes.
Your media and your server
Collectoh organises and plays media you already have. You're responsible for having the right to use it, and for how you and the people you invite use your server. Don't use Collectoh to share media with people who have no right to it, and don't use it to break the law.
Your server, and everything on it, is yours. We don't have access to it, and we're not responsible for what's stored on it or who you share it with. Please back it up; Collectoh can make the backups, but only you can keep copies somewhere safe.
Your Collectoh account
Keep your password to yourself and use a strong one. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us straight away at support@collectoh.com.
You must be 18 or over to create an account. You can delete your account at any time; see the privacy notice for what happens to your information.
Collectoh Plus
Plus adds features to Collectoh servers. It's bought by a server's owner and covers one of their servers at a time, and everyone they share it with. Plus can move to another of their servers once in 30 days.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, including any tax that applies.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We'll remind you before a yearly plan renews, and tell you in advance about any price change, which you can avoid by cancelling.
- Cancelling takes a moment in your account. Plus stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and your server carries on with everything in the free plan after that.
- Lifetime is a single payment for Plus for as long as we offer Collectoh.
- Collectoh Relay carries a server's connections only when nothing else can reach it. Without Plus it carries up to 2 Mbps and 100 GB a month for each server; with Plus, HD and 1 TB a month, about seven hours of HD a day. When a server has used its month, the relay pauses for that server until the next month begins (UTC); everything else about the server carries on.
- Refunds. If you live in the UK or the EU, you have 14 days after you buy to cancel and get your money back. When you buy, you'll be asked whether you want Plus to start straight away; if you do, you'll receive a refund for any time left in those 14 days rather than the full amount. Beyond the law, if something isn't right, write to us and we'll do our best to put it right.
A licence key is for your own server. Don't share it or sell it; if a key is misused, we may stop it working and issue you a new one.
This website
You may use collectoh.com and share links to it. The words, design and logos on it belong to us, apart from the pictures of films, books and photographs, which belong to their makers and are credited here. You may use our logos to write about Collectoh, as the press kit describes.
If something goes wrong
We work hard to make Collectoh reliable, but we can't promise it will always work perfectly or suit every purpose. It's provided as it is, and as far as the law allows, we don't give any promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of faults.
We're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, for losses caused by something outside our control, or for losing data kept on your own hardware. If we're responsible for a loss connected with Plus, the most we'll pay is what you paid us for Plus in the twelve months before it happened.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing takes away your rights as a consumer.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Collectoh at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why and giving you a chance to put it right where that's reasonable. If we ever stop offering Collectoh Plus, we'll tell you well in advance and refund any time you've paid for and not had.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell account holders by email about important changes before they take effect. If you don't agree to a change, you can cancel before it applies.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts can settle any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of your own country's law, and can bring a claim in your own country's courts.
